About

GEG Spain was founded to help address the gender gap in STEM, where women who study a STEM subject at university are less likely than their male peers to enter a career within the industry and women represent as few as 16% of STEM professionals.

Many women face barriers to entry in the field and as such, GEG bridges the divide between students and professionals, equipping women with the necessary skills to have long fulfilling careers. The mentorship program ensures every student receives tailored guidance and personalised development plans from experienced professionals. GEG’s trainings equip students with critical soft skills to enhance their professional capabilities and confidence, and the GEG students join a global sisterhood of women engineers providing them with a support network of likeminded, ambitious engineers.

Global Engineer Girls Spain was established in 2025 by Limak Construction Europe S.L in partnership with Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya Barcelona Tech – UPC.
